Need motherboard manual or help trying to resolve re-install of OS. After files are copied and does it's first restart I get... New technologies loader is giving me a fit. This is the error I am getting NTLDR couldn't open drive multi(0) disk(0) rdisk(0) partition(1) Tried another hard drive and it keeps cycling over and over, boot fron cd does not show up it just does it. Put in new ide cables as well. Tried another opticle drive as well. (CD Rom) Bless you if you have an answer.
it could be one of several things
1. is your drive set to master or slave (it need to be master)
2. what IDE channel is it in it should be in IDE channel 0 and not in IDE 1
3. what connector is it on, on the IDE cable it should be on the end one not the one half way down the cable
4. if you have another hard drive fitted on the other IDE channel is it set to master or slave, if it's with a CD/DVD drive change the CD/DVD drive to master and the hard drive to slave
5. you didn't say what O/S you're trying to install but you mentioned NTLDR so it's either XP or win 2000 if so try the format and install option
6. check your bios settings if you've made any changes since trying to reinstall windows try going to each page and hitting the default button exit and save settings
