How loud is a Dell PowerEdge 2900?

I'm thinking about purchasing a Dell PowerEdge 2900 or maybe even a PowerEdge 1900 and I was just curious to see how loud the server is? I have a Dell Precision Workstation 490 and I can't even hear it. I'm getting this for my home business and I'm just curious to see if it will keep me awake at night. Do all of the internal fans function at all times or only when the system starts to overheat?

We purchased a pair of PowerEdge 1900 servers and have been running them for two months know. The servers are fairly quiet unless they start getting warm and the secondary fans kick in. At that point they are about as loud as a home box fan. If you live in a cool climate or will be putting them in an air conditioned location you won't have any noise issues at all.
