On my dell laptop inspiron 6400 can I connect a Lcd monitor and close the laptop screen but keep the comput...
I want to know if I Can keep the computer running with the laptop scree down but connected to another lcd monitor. My dell model is an inspiron 6400.. please help and thanks!
to do this, connect the other monitor to the laptop next to the network card, now after doing that, right click on the desktop,click graphics properties, there is gonna appear the monitor u just connected to the laptop u can either have a dual screen display or u can set to used the monitor u just connected to the laptop.
now to let the pc keep woking normally after u close the lid screen, do this click on control panel, Performance and Maintenance,power option,advance, where it said when I close the lid of my portable computer, select the option of do nothing, click ok.
