I replaced the lcd ribbon on my laptop but now something else is wrong?
Prior to repair, my laptop screen would distort flash with horizontal and vertical lines. I bought a new lcd ribbon cable and installed it. It no longer distorts or flashes and closes quite nicely, however, I can not yet scream for joy, because wherever there is white, there are now diagonal red lines. Other colors are fine and show just as they did the the first day I started the computer. Could the cable I bought be dead?
It does this on text and regular color.
oh, and it doesn't do this with all kinda of white, just particular parts. For instance, if I have calculator open, the number bar and a little bit above it is the only part that has red diagonal lines, even though almost all the calculator is white.

The cause of his issue was the graphic card driver. You can try to download the graphic card driver, but uninstall the old ones first. Check your graphic manufacturer and model number by going into Device manager.
